Dogs know this. That is why dogs are so sane. If you don't believe me, go and study a dog. Watch him or her going about his or her business. You will see it and some of the sanity will rub off on you.
Life is great when your bones move easily under your flesh.

I am not sure about that. Momma says you need to have a brain to have sanity and me, well, not such a deep thinker I suppose.

No question, a dog just is--gets up in the morning, goes through the day in one way or other, goes to sleep at night, without questioning the meaning of any of it....

Dogs just know how to enjoy life. Not sure I would describe our Lily as sane but then I think people are responsible for eroding her natural doggy urge to enjoy life.
I agree there's so much happiness in just enjoying the day - I try to teach my humans this, but you know how humans are ...
