It was yet another beautiful day today. It was mid-morning, about 25 degrees celsius. We were in the dog park after going for a trot around the woods. There were just a few dogs in the park. I went to say "g'day" to a cattle dog cross. She took offence at something and turned on me. She barked and growled and was on top of me. I made a retreat as I am a lover not a fighter. I went over to Tim but I wasn't really scared. It was more noise than anything. The rest of the day consisted of food, lying on the couch, another big walk with Mandy, another small walk to the library with Tim including a few throws of the frisbee and dinner. The altercation in the dog park was the high drama of the day. I wouldn't normally blog about such a thing but it got me thinking that when everything is good and there are no dramas, it doesn't make very interesting blogging. Of course, there are people and dogs who are addicted to drama. I am not one of them. So you will have to be content with sunshine, walks and food, not that we can always avoid drama. I heard it said that there is a Chinese curse which goes, "may you live in interesting times."
Life is great when you don't have anything interesting to blog about.

It sure as heck is, Ruby my lovely :)
Woof :) xx
You don't need adventures for a good post, just seeing your lovely face makes my day.
Kisses,

I love a beautiful, uneventful day. :-)
Maybe the other dog was just having a bad day. People are like that too, sometimes. You say one nice thing to them and they jump down your throat.
I'm with you. Leave drama for the stage. Life's too short to live it in a bad mood.
I've heard that proverb before, but hadn't realized it was a curse. I admit that I find drama in almost every walk - like the sun shining on a flower, or a goose being followed by its babies. I guess it's what you might call low key drama:) Anyhow, you sure do know a lot about many things, Ruby. P.S. I love that sweet expression in your picture.
This makes me think of my longest walk: hiking the Appalachian Trail. I expected, with all that time walking in the woods, I'd be working out all the great philosophical questions, and all of my deep, personal "drama." Instead, I was concerned with "sunshine, walks and food," and, if I had those, I was happy....
Sounds like a very good day, overall.
A dog telling her story. :-) HahahahahahaHAHAHA!

Ahh, but interesting all depends on your state of mind....what may not be interesting to some would be fantastic to others. :) I like the no drama too but feel there is plenty interesting without it. :)

Very sweet, Ruby Eye! xox
Hi Ruby Isabella
What a cute picture of you.
We love dramaless days. We're glad that dog didn't hurt you.
Love Ruby & Penny
Aarrggh - give me a nice, quiet, uneventful day anytime!! Especially after our nasty incident in the park last Monday when that man physically assaulted Paul just because my humans asked him to control his aggressive dog!! Going to the police station and having nasty unstable people around you are NOT nice things to blog about!!
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
