Rainy Days

Yesterday, it rained all morning so we just lay around. Waiting. Waiting. We decided to visit a neighbour but Tim had left his keys in Mandy's car so we lay around some more. There is a definite art to laying around. Zen Buddhists have the right idea. When standing just stand, when sitting just sit and when lying just lie. I know a wise dog Chloe who says, "Why stand when you can sit? Why sit when you can lie?" That's how the morning went.

Then in the afternoon, we walked on the football fields by the creek. I immediately picked up a small bit of wood and ran around with glee. Some old man, possibly Italian, said, "beautiful" about me. I think it says somewhere in the bible something like, "there is a time for lying and there is a time for running around with glee with a small bit of wood in your mouth."

Please comment, people and dogs, on the art of lying around and running.

Yes, I agree but our dams need to fill up so we are always grateful for the rain.

Hi Ruby
Today we had a lot of water too, only it was frozen. I think everyone should run around with glee, then take the time to rest so you have energy for more glee running.
See you soon

Ruby!

I just found your blog through DWB, and thought I'd drop by to say hi! It's GRRRReat to meet ya!

So it's raining there too, eh? It never stops raining where I live! I hope we get snow soon... If we can't get sun, then snow is the way to go! I love playing in the snow.

Does it really rain in Australia?? (hee! hee!)

We're moving to Australia in a year's time and everyone tells me it's a really dry, brown place...

Hey - I know JUST what you mean about lying around - us Danes have perfected the art of lying around! Don't they realise how exhausting lying around can be when you're doing it properly? :-)

I agree... no more rain. It has been raining here too which keeps me away from the dog park.

Something about my white fur and my mom not wanting to give me a bath every day.

I do enjoy a good sprawl on the floor. I stretch my legs as far as I can in the air while I am on my back and bare everything for the world to see.

Dad says I should hide my shame. BOL

Have a wonderful day!
